In celebration of Vietnam Teachers' Day on November 20 and Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, as well as in anticipation of the 20th anniversary of the founding of Nhân Mỹ School, on the morning of November 3, 2024, lecturers and students from Nhân Mỹ School organized a traditional incense offering ceremony at Bái Đường Hall, a significant national heritage site at Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám.
The incense offering ceremony was led by Dr. Lê Trung Kiên, Principal of Nhân Mỹ School; Master Nguyễn Văn Phương, Head of Ceremonies; Lecturer Nguyễn Quang Duy; and Lecturer Đào Văn Thuận. The program advisor was Dr. Đinh Thanh Hiếu (from Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
The incense offering at Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám holds a vital role in teaching tradition to future generations, especially to the students of Nhân Mỹ School. Through activities like the incense offering ceremony, Nhân Mỹ School creates opportunities for students and traditional culture enthusiasts to gain hands-on experience with heritage values, fostering pride and awareness in preserving the nation's cultural heritage.
The ceremony was a chance to practice traditional rituals and a meaningful lesson on the cultural, educational, and spiritual value of the Hán-Nôm heritage.
